Changed Advertising Techniques

Written by WishBoNe on May 12, 2008 – 3:27 pm

After my initial frustrations at Nuffnang not receiving any more advertisement because I’m not in the Glitterati band, I decided to split the advertising methods. I just want to cash out the money, that’s all. If something doesn’t work that well, I want it to cash out soon so that I can make use of other opportunities.

Web advertising is lucrative but it works for some while it doesn’t for others. For my case. I need more traffic and this site may not have the necessary traffic to attract the kind of readers that the advertises want. I’m working very hard at it. I do like the idea of advertisers here but at what risk?

I keep getting my PageRank changed each time Google updates its algorithm. I don’t even know what will make its PR up again. It does seem that one thing is for sure. PPP and other similar posts here are not welcomed and the PR will always be 0.

Something I dislike but it’s a part of life, monopoly is the game here. If you can be the one and only one, you get the largest pie.

Slow To Catch Up With Trend

Written by WishBoNe on November 22, 2007 – 5:41 pm

The dust seems to have settled down for now for Big G and PR. I’m getting frustrated here because we are supposed to have only one source of “legal” way to make some money and it’s to be only from Big G.

I’m slow again. When it was just picking up, I didn’t utilise it. No wait, I couldn’t because I was using a free host that didn’t allow me to put any scripts. Now that I’m starting to catch on, Big G says “All those selling text links and paid posts shall have their page ranks reduced!” Something to that effect.

I have resorted to doing adsense, surveys, paid posts, participating in contests and reviews. Aye, I have to do so many things just to earn some spare cash hosting fees?

So, what else can I do? Wait? Or don’t care what it’s doing and just carry on my methods to earn some miserly amounts? I’m not saying that I want to be like some A-listers and sit at home and blog all day without worrying whether my next bill can be paid in full. I’m just saying that I want a piece of that pie. It’s a bonus if I can just sit at home and blog all day a few hours.

I’m not sure what will be going on for the next few months. All I want is that I get some hosting fees to be paid. Not asking for that 10k per month.

I Just Want to Earn My Hosting Fees

Written by WishBoNe on November 20, 2007 – 10:39 am

What does it take to get your blog or site being well known? Be affiliated with ProBlogger or John Chow? Inject all sorts of keywords so that the search engine will be indexed with them? Take part in contests to get more link backs?

Or beg Google to up your PageRank by using Adsense solely to earn your fees? I have been using Adsense for quite some time and it’s sorely losing out to my paid posts. It doesn’t work for me as I had hoped for. Perhaps my keywords aren’t used enough to generate those attractive sites to let my readers click through.

Or maybe this blog doesn’t have what it takes to attract more readers. What I wish is that we should be allowed to do what we can to earn some moolah online instead of being restricted and scared that our PageRank will be reduce to NIL/NA/0.

Why am I going through all these troubles for? I just want to earn enough to cover my hosting and domain fees. If one method is not working for me, I should have the ability to use another method that works for me, right?
