Reverse Funnel System Could be A Scam

Written by WishBoNe on June 13, 2008 – 10:24 am

I haven’t tried it but I smell a fish there. If I were to use this system, I have to put in $5,000 and the money will grow. Or so it’s supposed to. Just take a look at this guy in his boxers out there in the freezing cold. There is a warning about how it works and how a business is to be setup.

Entrepreneurs who have experienced their own business failures and success will know. They have first hand knowledge of managing businesses. Business is tough. You can’t just sit at home fiddling with your website even though it is comfortable and think money will start pouring into your account.

I don’t know who Ty Coughlin is but a search threw up titles with the word ’scam’ ended up in the first page. Apparently, this guy has a lot of different domains trying to lure people into paying him money. This time, he’s looking for a business owner, via ProBlogger Job Boards, no less.

All sorts of marketing needs work. Lots of it. The initial work is usually the most difficult but the sweet fruits of labour is worth it. I have seen too many single page websites claiming that they have earned $7,000 per week and more. Each page design feels 1990s. The key is to use large bold red fonts to attract people into signing up.

Each package usually requires you to pay a minimum sum of $50. I don’t know how long such a system can last but apparently, during the downtimes of the economy, people are often turning to online hoping to earn quick bucks and not be stuck in the office from 8 - 6.

Can One Die From Over Blogging?

Written by WishBoNe on April 7, 2008 – 10:19 am

I have read people dying from sitting too long in a place but dying from over blogging? Seems that if you are in charge of ensuring that you are the first to break the news about technology, the stress level does kill.

They work long hours, often to exhaustion. Many are paid by the piece — not garments, but blog posts. This is the digital-era sweatshop. You may know it by a different name: home.

Bloggers often work from home or cafe where there is free wifi. Sitting down for long hours for blogging and sitting down for long hours in the cubicle doesn’t make any difference. Remember May Leong?

The moral of the story is that payment from writing do pay well but payment from affiliates without you having to think and be the 1st is better for your health.

How Do I Grow More Money?

Written by WishBoNe on March 28, 2008 – 9:25 am

Blogging isn’t a way to passive income. It looks more like an earned income. Passive income means that you won’t be taxed. I hope. In Singapore context, royalties are taxable. Therefore, I will not be able to earn much passive income if I were to write my own book.

So, if I were to sell an e-book, what sort of income is that? With the cost of living rising every month, how am I supposed to be able to save up enough in order to be able to live comfortably without relying on CPF since it isn’t giving out my money as I am unable to plan my expenditure.

Money Tree *NEW* HK$125.00 below 5 qty. ON SALE Gosh, I didn’t know that my brains won’t be working at age 85. So, I need someone to help me with governing my money. Therefore, what are my options for passive income? Adsense? Adbrite? Linkworth’s LinkSura, LinkBB?

Adsense learns from the keywords being used in a site and thus, with a site niche, you get ads that are similar to your site. Other ways of earning online include highlighting of the keywords after signing up with marketing companies to link to other sites promoting services or products with that keyword.

Does reading emails and getting paid to read emails count as passive or earn? Ultimately, how do I grow more money?

No Picky Domains For Me

Written by WishBoNe on March 19, 2008 – 11:19 am

I thought I would try my hand in suggesting domain names. I have suggested more than 10 names with 4 being disliked in various offers. One of it even claimed “I’m open to just about any name.” The irony is that all of my suggestions were in the dislike folder.

Not quite sure if I should even continue using Picky Domains. Perhaps, I should stop using since the names are disliked. It isn’t easy to even have a short domain name because most of them are parked and to purchase them is out of the question as the domain parker won’t consider any amount less than what they want to sell.

I joined hoping to earn 50% if my suggestions are selected. Unfortunately, I haven’t had the luck.

My Attempts to Earn Money Online

Written by WishBoNe on March 14, 2008 – 11:57 am

I am tired. However, I am not giving up trying to earn some more by being affiliated. It means I don’t have to write posts that aren’t related to this blog and get paid with just US$5 per post for 200 words.

It sure is tough trying to come up with 200 words to praise this company that I know nuts about. Meanwhile, I have signed up with various programmes in my attempt to get away from the routine office job.

So far, the money has not gone up exponentially or stable in 4 figure amount but I sure hope the amount can go up from 2 figure to 4 figure in 3 years. Until then, I’m stuck in the office.

Why I Use Linkworth

Written by WishBoNe on January 23, 2008 – 4:40 pm

Anyone who monetises sites knows that selling text links or ad space works far easier than writing for money. Linkworth is one such site that provides you the option to sell text links and blogging for money. It is an Ultimate Money Making Machine.

Earning money passively provides you the time for other things you have planned. There are 2 payment options, 50/50 or 70/30. By using 50/50, you get paid 50% and more exposure to advertisers as Linkworth will promote your site. The advice is to go 50/50 when you have just joined Linkworth.

For the options that Linkwork offers, check their Partner Products. I have been getting posts and text links which is a good sign since it has been around for more than a year.

Am I Selling Myself?

Written by WishBoNe on January 21, 2008 – 12:02 pm

I feel a sense of lost. Caught in the middle of something that I could be imagining myself. I’ve been in development for close to 4 years. IT for nearly 7 years. During these years, I thought I was in love with IT and thus, continued myself in it while trying to get higher pay. Pay increment within the company is low. Everyone knows that.

However, after a while, I realised that I’m not that good, neither am I that bad in my current job scope. Just mediocre. It feels as if I’m doing it because it’s part of my job responsibilities. I seem to have lost that passion, or I didn’t have it in the first place.

I was hoping to have a change this year in terms of my job scope but unfortunately, I was rejected. After waiting for 2 months. Not that I didn’t expect it, just disappointed that they didn’t even want to consider. Can’t blame them since it has always been like that. No related certifications, not a chance at that job you would dearly love to have.

So, in other words, go be an entrepreneur or technopreneur. This part is partially joking, you won’t succeed if you don’t try again when you have failed. You need the perseverance, strength and passion to pursue this.

I’m digressing. What I’m trying to find out is that if I am selling myself short. There is this potential change in company, nothing new in my life since I have been changing within 2 years ever since I left my 1st company. It’s the same scope but with wider technologies to play with. It’s going to be expensive just working there because food will cost a lot more than what I’m paying for now.

I wanted to stay on and renew the contract for a short term at this current one as I want to build up a profile. It’s easier to stay here to build a profile since I’m familiar here. At the new place, I may not be able to build my profile since I may be doing lots of OT (not my favourite part and that was the reason why I left the other one too). This new place would have a large salary every month but I don’t know if it’s worth it.

I don’t want to sell myself short since I have more or less settled down in this current place. I don’t want to receive another call a few months down the road saying I have this offer, the one that I have been hoping to get for a long time. It’s not the 1st time that I have such calls and unable to take them up due to my short time spent at the workplace at that time.

Life, is a paradox.
