With the new localised search engine launched, I realised something; I can be found so much easier. It also means that I should be more careful about political writings that I may write out of frustration. Here’s introducing, Rednano.sg.
What I can’t figure out is that why it’s called Rednano.sg. I shall not blog about politics no matter what. What I can do is to blog but keep them in private. Yes, that’s what I shall do. That’s why I love WordPress.
I tested a few phrases in Rednano.sg and my sites are now in the 1st page. I’m not sure what algorithm they are using but I believe it could be due to the pagerank by Google that’s also affecting the results. By searching for PIE, you won’t find just the food, you’ll find information about the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE).
I just hope that my personal details such as home address don’t turn up in the results. I mean, just look at movies making use of Google to search for someone to be found. Scary.

Just discovered that I’m 1st for “maths tutor” there
But other terms don’t seem to be doing that well – my observation so far is that rednano seems more sensitive to spelling (e.g. math vs maths) as compared to Google.

You do know that there’s gonna be a directory search for people as part of their plan as they go along? So soon, everyone’s gonna be listed there if I remember it right.
Somehow, this doesn’t seem to make me feel comfortable. This directory just makes it easier for some court cases such as defamation and legal issues involved later on.
