Possible Malware in Advertlets Codes?

Written by WishBoNe on December 3, 2007 – 9:41 am

Ever since I’ve placed the new Advertlets codes, I’ve been automatically redirect to a site that promotes itself that it’s the best in scanning for malware. This is disturbing. Even those blogs that haven’t placed the codes for the bigger sized Advertlets format have been redirecting automatically.

Are the codes malicious? Am I at risk? I’m worried. Very. Worried.

    I also got redirected to another page by some blog recently. Was trying to figure out what causes it. Are you sure it is from Advertlets? I don’t think they will do. (But lets wait for Josh to get back on this)

    As for the malware, I don’t think you got any malware. The website is trying to trick you to buying their software. So don’t worry about the malware. Just worry about the redirection.

    I got redirected from my blogs and Xtralicious. Just can’t figure out why. And, I seriously don’t think I have any malware either.

    I’ve been redirected too. I think it’s plain annoying whoever came up with such tricks. It has a negative impact on me: I will purposely not patronize such companies.

    I just read it. At least I can rest my mind and not worry that it’s Advertlets’ fault.

    We’ve replaced the SWF file recently while awaiting further feedback from the client. You should not face any further problems, however, let us know if you do.

    It really was annoying.

    @Adverlets Support
    Thanks for the quick remedy!
