Violated Again. It’s a Neverending Cycle
Written by WishBoNe on November 10, 2007 – 2:51 pmI’m starting to be more popular. With splogs, that is. I’ve my posts plagiarised yet again. What’s new? My posts on hotel reviews, sponsored posts and whatever seems to have been well-thought on my part have been stolen and violated.
If my sponsored post has been violated, will I still get paid? I just did it and it’s immediately stolen although there is a link back. However, what’s the point? What if I get banned? What should I do? What can I do? Sue? Email the webmaster? Email doesn’t work. You get ignored. Even if you are an A-list blogger.
What can Copyscape and Creative Commons do in this case? Do my copyrights even get protected? Apparently, being online has its perils besides the paranoid feeling of being stalked by invisible intruders such as Torjans, viruses, key loggers and other fantastic spyware.

My gut feeling is telling me that the plagiarist could be someone subscribed to your blog perhaps? Everytime you update a new post, he is immediately “informed” about it.

@Ed
It could be. But I think there’s a robot that will crawl through the sites to take those contents and inform the owner to start the post. RSS do take some time to be updated, I noticed.

Oh ya, I just read my own comment just now. I didn’t know there are robots that can do this.

@Ed
As long as someone programmed the robots, the robots can do anything. *sigh*
