To Continue or Not, That is The Question
Written by WishBoNe on July 26, 2007 – 8:59 amI’ve been asked during lunch “If they are going to renew your contract, will you be continuing?” Frankly speaking, I don’t know. I’m not sure if I want to continue because I’ve been seriously thinking about my career path. I’ve been neglecting another part of me for too long. 
Maybe I should negotiate with them if they really want to renew it.

Always remember in career path and work, there must be progression just like company’s revenues & profits. If you find it monotonous and stagnant then I guess you will need to sit down and discuss with your company on your future’s mapping here. If it doesn’t helps you in any single bit, perhaps it would be a better bet to move on. That’s what I will do…

Perhaps you might want to take a look at what are your goals in life and factor that into your career path review as well, do not just look at job scope/pay.
Ok… that is just the idealistic me talking :p

I haven’t been able to move on anywhere. Perhaps I didn’t show to them that I could do other stuff. Could me not doing anything by being medicore. Hee. First, I’ll discuss with them before doing anything else. I’ll still do what I like to do, at least, something that I’m happy with.

I’ve also been asking myself if it’s the pay and yes, it’s the pay. Otherwise, I would have progressed somewhere instead of moping here.
