Blog Stats Checking Obsession
Written by WishBoNe on July 12, 2007 – 9:34 amI’m checking on my stats again. It’s an obsession, I know. If I need help, I should comfort myself, there are others like me. I do notice that a particular post of mine on Jabra BT135 Bluetooth seems to be getting a lot of hits. Not sure why but the search usually points to it. Does that mean that a lot of people are using it? The search terms contain variations from discovering BT135 to finding how it actually works.

My, I didn’t realise that the obscure handphone I did a quick review on would get hits too. Another thing, my incoming link had this person sharing my code, well, part of it. Just to note, that code was meant for Lotus Notes Client. I was testing that code too. Adds a bit of life to my otherwise boring style.

I run a blog too (http://flawedlogic.org) and I swear I have OCD when it comes to checking my stats. I have to check them at the VERY least once an hour, and that’s if I’m extremely busy with something else. If I’m not in the middle of anything, I could check my visitor logs once or twice every 5 minutes.
I don’t think it’s anything to be ashamed of. At least I hope not.

@Justin
It’s ridiculous to check immediately after posting. At that time though, I did wish everyone would read my blog immediately after I posted.
That’s a bit too much
