Review: Google Analytics

Written by WishBoNe on June 6, 2007 – 10:59 am

Been using Google Analytics for a while now. I must say I’m impressed with the various information gathered in my report such as browsers, OS, dept of visits, returning and new visitors, screen resolutions, Flash versions, etc.

Except, it’s counting my visits too. Not as good as Wordpress, then. It’s able to tell me that there are 2 unique visitors to the site which would be very useful when it comes to using Nuffnang :D
The visuals for the map overlay is rather impressive to me. It’s able to focus on the country and highlight where my visitors come from. I don’t have to subscribe to Map Clusters and create a lot of accounts just for consolidating data on one blog. It’s pretty troublesome to have so many accounts just to get those information, I say.

Overall, I like the way that Google Analytics provide the information, I wish I can do the same for Wordpress blogs. If anyone has a self hosted Wordpress blog, care to share what Wordpress statistics provide besides the standard blog stats that is available to Wordpress hosted blogs?
