Blogging Lessons To Be Learnt
Written by WishBoNe on May 25, 2007 – 2:45 pmI’ve been blogging for about 6 years (with the last 2 years being quite consistent). This is not my only blog. The very first was Diaryland which is no longer updated though the account still exist or deleted since I haven’t logged in for a long time. It wasn’t frequently updated because I dislike the interface.
Subsequently Friendster came but I felt that there was still something missing and discovered Wordpress. Since blogging is a hobby to me, I haven’t really considered about being outstanding or learnt any lessons along the way except that I’ve kept my writing up to date. I like to think that way.
Now, there are 27 lessons to be learnt about blogging in order to be outstanding. I think I’ve achieved none except for allowing RSS feeds here. I didn’t miss it here, right? Not to forget 18 lessons learnt after 3 years by Darren.
I have been considering to be full time blogger but I’ll need sponsors and other ways to earn while I’m at it. So, the lessons continue.

Blogging is different for everyone. If blogging as a hobby makes you happy, that’s great too! The most important lesson is do it because you love it, not for the money.

@John
If it were a job, I don’t know if I’d be as happy because if I were to let it make money, I might be happy with the extra income but not with it as the main income because I might hit a writer’s block sometimes.
It makes me happy
