Why Earning in Virtual World is Attractive

Written by WishBoNe on March 9, 2007 – 9:24 am

Ever heard of people actually earning millions while just doing virtual stuff? Can it really be done? Remember the Nigerian who just needed a bank account and some “transfer fees” before the “dead millionaire’s” money could be sent to your bank account? Why do we fall for those “work from home and earn millions” scams?

I had once thought of working from home while providing some skills that doesn’t need me to be in the office. I had played with that idea a lot ever since. It’s nice to be able to work at home and no one will question you if you had to take some time off to fetch your kids from school. No one will question you if you badly need a break from the work itself by taking a short nap.

What we often see is that the grass is greener on the other pasture. It’s only when we touch on the “other” pasture do we see that it’s not all roses and no thorns. Working from home is not everyone is able to achieve. Advice is needed for newcomers who have started working from home. There are a lot of sites providing advice on being productive while working from home. Web Worker Daily is one of them.

Heard of anyone earning quite an amount in playing Second Life? Ever since this news was made known, virtually anyone who wants to make quick bucks will be playing and making the virtual space a lot smaller to earn more money from. The more the people squeeze into the same space, the less money to be made from. From what I see, everyone is trying to sell it off but where are the buyers? The buyers must be earning theirs from somewhere else. I too, wanted to see what the hype is about Second Life.

Unfortunately, my laptop hangs upon logging in because my graphics card is not updated enough to be able to even load my island or whatever I’m supposed to be in. I’m toying with the idea of buying a new laptop so I can load it. Silly, right? Just to play Second Life.

Working in a 9-to-5 job sounds boring to some people even though it’s where the most stable income is from, despite retrenchment, resizing, merging companies, etc. The good thing that ever comes out of such things is that you get compensation unless that company is the stinking, stingy kind that gives you the lame reply that they are losing money badly and they need the cash to pay off the debts and they can’t even afford a month of your pay.

I do like the idea of having my flexible working hours and still be able to earn some stable income without having to fall for those scammers out there who like fleece off my hard-earned money. I like the idea of earning quick bucks be able to afford the stuff that I have been considering to buy. Who doesn’t?
