Erratic Problems
Written by WishBoNe on January 9, 2007 – 3:13 pmUpon receiving a submission by users about their problems, the 1st priority is to fix the problem and make sure that the root cause does not appear again. There are times when the root cause is intermittent. It works on some computers but not for others. The baffling part is that all the platforms are the same, the specifications are similar.
Take the installation of Domino R7.0.1 for a new user for example. The links are pointed to the same bookmark. Upon refreshing the local bookmark template, the links should work. However, there was the same error despite deleting the cache in R7 folder.
Sometimes, when there are too many problems coming in, it can be confusing to which to solve 1st. First-come-first-serve basis or easiest to solve or most difficult to solve first? I may have lost myself after a while by reading all the emails and then forget that there are still problems to be solved. Maybe I have lost the life for IT support and hence, the poor performance. Maybe I just need a good long break that relates to supporting I.
I may come back refreshed and energetic. I wonder if I would have the cash to support myself in the meanwhile. I may have to find some part time work to eat daily. However, I don’t feel like doing anything for the 1st month.
