Jabra BT135 Headset Undiscoverable

Written by WishBoNe on December 30, 2006 – 8:14 am

I’ve a new bluetooth headset, Jabra BT135. It’s a belated Christmas gift. I had tested the demo set but not the actual. After charging it, it can’t be discovered. I don’t know why :x

Has anyone encountered with such a case? I thought it was my Dopod 838Pro bluetooth problem. However, it isn’t. I tried using my laptop to verify and the headset can’t be discovered. I don’t know why.

Does that mean I’ve to go back to the shop for an exchange? Gosh. I hate it when such things happen. I’m so eager to use it and it’s a let down when the headset doesn’t work. :(

Update: Managed to get it to work, there was the tricky way of putting it to discoverable mode.

    Take the small battery out and wait 10 sec before inserting it again. That took care of my problem..

    @Mike
    There wasn’t any way I could see to take out the battery. It’s now working :)

  • Allan says:

    How did you get it into discoverable mode? I have the exact same problem LOL

  • WishBoNe says:

    Turn it on, it should start blinking. Press on it again, this time, longer until you see the blue light (it shouldn’t be blinking). It’s now in discoverable mode.

    The irony is that I didn’t have the patience to read the small card (it came with the set) that had the same instructions :lol:

    MY JABRA BT135 HAS BEEN AN INSEPERABLE PART OF MY ATTIRE, THAT IS UNTIL TODAY. WHEN I REALIZED THERE WAS A PROBLEM, I WAS RECEIVING AN INCOMING CALL, AND MY JABRA WASN’T RINGING. I CHECKED TO SEE THAT IT WAS ON, AND YES IT WAS. I WENT THROUGH ALL THE SET UP STEPS TO DOUBLE CHECK IT. THE AUDIO IS NOT CONNECTING. THE DEVICE IS POWERED ON, THE LIGHT IS FLASHING HOWEVER THERE IS NO AUDIO. WHAT STEPS SHOULD I TAKE TO GET AUDIO?

  • WishBoNe says:

    @Onyx Queen
    You can try deleting the pairing from the phone and re-pair it again. It should work.

  • Thank for making this valuable information available to the public.
