Late for Work

Written by WishBoNe on December 21, 2006 – 11:21 am

I’ve been late for work ever since I don’t get to take company transport anymore. That bad, huh? There was this company that I was always late because I was drained out by the constant OT that I had to put in nearly everyday. I’d be lucky that I don’t have to go back during weekends. I was working hard on this high profile project and thus, the high OT hours that I put in. There was no OT pay, just claims for usual stuff such as taxi fares and meal allowances.

I think I’m still trying to recover my energy passion for doing IT. I’m so sick of OT and just don’t feeling like working but I still have to put in because I’d lose my pay if I’m not performing. What a paradox.

    Thanks for visiting my blog. :) I guess you really need to force yourself to be passionate in the IT world again…since it’s your bread & butter. Or maybe you can consider doing other stuff ?

    for me, transportation is a big issue to determine whether i should work in one’s company. OT without OT pay is ok for me AS LONG AS the manager allow me to come in a bit late in the next day. That’s what i have here, thanks god they didn’t force me to come to the office at 830am everyday, and this is also the reason why i still stay in the current company. Wish you good luck and solve your problem soon.. =)

    @Alvin
    Bread and butter it is but I wish I don’t have to force myself to find it. I’ve tried to take short breaks away but not enough to take a trip out of the country. :(

    Have been considering doing other stuff, building my profile for it now.

    I’ve changed from the company since. As long as I don’t get caught by the big boss (current company), I’m still safe. However, I guess I’ve been drained out.

    will, don give up. :) if u reli feel u’ve lost all passion or interest on IT, then find another thing to do. There are tonnes of opportunities out there ;)

    I think I lost my passion for supporting IT. Using it is another matter :mrgreen:

    A profile will have to be built. :)
