Space Limits
Written by WishBoNe on December 7, 2006 – 10:10 amOften users tell me, “Erm, can give me more mailbox space? I have too many emails and they’re all important to me.” See, the emphasis is on emails are all important to them. Well, no wonder we have cheaper hard disks that are getting larger and running on more power. Then we talk about energy conservation. A paradox indeed. Apparently, users have a better way of utilising their mailbox spaces more than I do.
I wonder what I’m going to do with 10GB of upload space here. I can start with uploading photos or images that represents the post here, however, I find it tough to find those that are representing enough or I go out of point during my enthusiasm. Or the easiest way is to dump 10GB of MP3s, files and photos here. That would make my life harder because how do I sort the photos, songs and files? Is there a sub folder system here?
I should start organising my stuff in my hard disk. That way, I know what I can upload. Large photos uploaded here doesn’t sound appealing to me because it just takes hours if I have 5GB size to upload. For me, 10GB took me about 2 years to fill up. This is different, I can either choose to do a photoblog which almost every enthusiastic photographer is doing or I try something else.
Or I can try to encourage everyone to register here and network here. Friends can post and upload their photos here. Hence, this would be a multi-blog cum photoblog. Good idea? Nah, what would happen to the consistency of this blog then? Tough question.
Another way is that I just post and pray that I’m utilising 10GB of space! Youtube allows people to share their videos, here I can sort of embedded videos by linking to Youtube. However, that doesn’t count towards the upload space. Videos are a great way to utilise here. Now, how do I embed them after uploading?
So, I’d be uploading photos, videos and more videos, I suppose. I wonder if I will ever use up 10GB of upload space here.
